I imagined something quite different than this when I read the word "spinoff". But apparently,<p>> The new entity will be 100% controlled and consolidated by Ubisoft.<p>That makes me think that this is simply a restructuring to get some extra investment from Tencent, who already own part of Ubisoft.<p>With that said though, the statement that they aim to "expand multiplayer offerings with increased frequency of content release, introduce free-to-play touchpoints, and integrate more social features" seems completely at odds with the claim that they also want to "drive further increases in quality of narrative solo experiences". In fact, I'm guessing it will be much more of the former at the expense of the latter.
