All These Stripe Dispute Fee Changes – What's Going On?

I'm trying to find an answer to why Stripe is making so many changes to dispute fees. I'm in the subscription space for $19.99 per month and now I need to pay $30.00 for each dispute I want to fight. I'm totally in the hole now. Anyone have any suggestions?

Increasing the fee for lost disputes seems fine, but the fact that there's a fee for won disputes at all bothers me.

You have to pay to fight the dispute? That's insane.
