It may be the first time a President pardons a corporation but it is a little sensationalistic to suggest that Trump is on a power grab or is "expanding" anything as the Constitution indeed only states <i>which</i> offences can be pardoned:<p><i>... he [The President] shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.</i>
