Show HN: Yet Another Speed Dial – a better new tab page

1 pointsby conceptualspaceabout 2 months ago
I last post this back in 2021 when I started development -- nothing like google enforcing all extensions to migrate to manifest v3 to refactor the whole codebase for b̶e̶t̶t̶e̶r̶ ̶e̶f̶f̶i̶c̶i̶e̶n̶c̶y̶,̶ ̶p̶r̶i̶v̶a̶c̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶s̶e̶c̶u̶r̶i̶t̶y̶ no reason!
All jokes aside, if you're looking for a fast, open source new tab page that gives you instant access to all your bookmarks in a visually organized way, please check it out!
Compared to other speed dials, YASD:
- automatically fetches thumbnails using the open graph standard
- makes use of native bookmarks under the hood so your data is not locked into the extension
- supports sorting, searching, and folders
- contains no ads, trackers, premium subscriptions. it aims to do one thing and do it well
- available for Brave, Chrome, Edge and Firefox (including Android)
What should be added next? Would love to hear your thoughts!
https://github.com/conceptualspace/yet-another-speed-dial
