The key point is that it is REPORTED crime which is down. I think that every year fewer and fewer people are reporting crime--because overwhelmingly it is futile to do so--so only report if it is required to file an insurance claim or it is a major injury.

Wait to see what happens when the firings in mass begins as Trump cuts social protections. Plus inflation will soon start that will make the Covid Inflation Rates look like good times.<p>So I expect a delayed huge raise in Crime thanks to Trump.<p>But at least gas prices will probably fall once the firings kick in. That is the only thing MAGA seems to cares about.
