I usually detest most Spiked articles, but this is an excerpt from a book, and the author seemed reasonably level headed in a recent Financial Times half hour mini documentary about nuclear linked here:<p><a href="https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43741654">https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43741654</a><p>All this history is interesting but doesn't really reflect the more recent radical price plunge of solar, wind and batteries that have made new build nuclear basically irrelevant.
