I'd like to see this same thing done with Apple laptops.<p>Back when I was supporting a fleet of those in the days of the nVidia-caused laptop GPU overheating fiasco (which was the "never again nVidia" moment for Apple), the failure rate on laptops was about 40% higher for everyone who insisted on clamshell mode instead of putting the laptop on a stand and getting a free second monitor on the build in display.
