Microsoft Drops Law Firm That Made a Deal with Trump from a Case

If I&#x27;m a company and I hire a firm &#x2F; some lawyers who have some sort of outstanding (potentially unconstitutional) deal with those in power to do something amorphous like:<p>&gt;Simpson Thacher reached a deal with the White House last month in which the firm committed to perform $125 million in free legal work for causes acceptable to the Trump administration.<p>How can I even know that the folks I hired aren&#x27;t potentially directly &#x2F; indirectly working against my interests? or just a phone call &#x2F; threats away from doing that?<p>They already crumpled under the pressure from an administration with no respect for the law ...<p>I don&#x27;t know that this IS Microsoft&#x27;s point of view, but it seems to be a rational one.
