I recently introduced some younger relatives of mine to some old games I played when I was younger. They happily enjoyed them at length apparently, and then today one of them sent me the link to this essay on the artistic merits of novel ontologies, dating back to when the games in question were new.<p>It's interesting to think about how hierarchical systems turn out to center objects over relations while flattened systems are the ones that center relations.
