$50/year for the right to use my domain for app hosted on App Engine seems to much, isn't it?<p>Before December 6, 2012 Appengine users used Google Apps Standard for mapping custom domain to appid.appspot.com for free (or price of using custom domain was included into App Engine regular price).<p>On December 6, 2012 Google canceled Google Apps Standard price plan: http://googleenterprise.blogspot.ca/2012/12/changes-to-google-apps-for-businesses.html<p>However in App Engine control panel on Domain Setup Tab is still stated: "If you do not have a Google Apps domain, App Engine users can sign up to a single-user Google Apps Standard account for free."<p>Link to "Google Apps Standard" from this page don't work ATM.<p>If I just need to map my custom domain to the site hosted on App Engine and don't need other Google Apps services, will I need to pay $50/year for CNAME domain alias for my app?<p>Asked same question in app-engine community on SO:<p>http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13801738/does-custom-domain-on-gae-cost-50-year-after-dec-6-2012
