Show HN: echoplexus v0.2.0, now with experimental WebRTC voice/video calls

2 pointsby arcameronalmost 12 years ago
Hey HN, it's been a while since we last showed you echoplexus. Since then, we've made a ton of improvements to the basic functionality.
Echoplexus is an anonymous, web-based, IRC-like chatting platform that makes its best effort to respect your privacy. It allows you to create public or private channels. You can secure a pseudonym for linkable anonymity. Chat, Code, Draw, and Call.
Yesterday, we pushed out 0.2.0 which brings experimental video and audio calls. To use it, you'll need a bleeding edge Chrome or Firefox (though I haven't had much luck getting it to work in Aurora).
Some links:
Github: https://github.com/qq99/echoplexus contains the current documentation and vision of where echoplexus is headed
Demo: https://chat.echoplex.us
We'd love to have any contributors. The current WebRTC support wouldn't be what it is today without jamiees2 -- congratulations on your hard work :)
