Apportable (YC W11) is hiring engineers to build a better SpriteKit

1 pointsby collinjacksonalmost 12 years ago
The Apportable SDK cross-compiles Objective-C apps to Android. Games powered by Apportable have risen to the top of the charts and delighted millions of users through the Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore, and the Humble Bundle for Android. The platform is built on open source projects like GNUstep, CFLite, and Cocotron as well as our own implementations of UIKit and other libraries.
Our San Francisco based team is growing quickly and we are hiring software engineers to implement new iOS frameworks like SpriteKit. We are offering both temporary contract and full-time positions. No Android experience is required, but Objective-C development experience will be helpful.
Perks:
- Work flexible hours with incredibly smart and motivated engineers.
- A successful product that developers are actually paying money for and appreciating, with lots of upside potential.
- You'll quickly see your work in the hands of millions of Android users.
- Based in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco at 5th and Harrison, within walking distance of Caltrain and BART.
- Free Exec, health, dental, meals and we don’t track vacation days.
- We play games - lots and lots of games.
---------------------------------------------------
To apply, email jobs+hn@apportable.com with link to relevant profiles (GitHub, Twitter, Quora, Stack Overflow, HN, etc.).
