Steve Jobs realized K-12 education was the final frontier untouched by modern technology. It's time for that to change.
The problem: Schools today run on legacy infrastructure that is nearly impossible for hackers to build software for.
We're on a mission to replace the terrible things that developers have to do today (think nightly CSV FTP transfers) with APIs that feel more like Facebook's or Stripe's. E.g. https://getclever.com/developers/docs/
Clever is a team of 10 in San Francisco. When we started a year ago, 4 schools used Clever. Today, Clever is used by 5,000 schools, making it the fastest-growing company in education. We're looking for talented hackers who want to help us build Clever into something every school, student, and teacher relies on.
A sampling of the tools we work with daily:

- Javascript (Node, Backbone)
- Python (Fabric, Salt, Buildbot)
- mongoDB
- Gearman
- Logstash
- AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, R53, SES)

Tools we're experimenting with as we scale:

- Go
- Postgres
- Riemann
- Angular

What Clever offers:

- Challenging problems in architecting and scaling
a developer platform and school-facing product
- Significant equity stake in a well-funded company
- Flat and close-knit engineering team
- Beautiful office with absurd natural light
- Great benefits: healthcare, dental, unlimited
Amazon budget, free lunch, etc.
