some quick info: Petar Maymounkov, the author, is the same guy who invented kademlia, the distributed hash table that many p2p networks use (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kademlia" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kademlia</a>).
