HackerRank (YC S11) is building an engaged community of hackers.
Every hacker has a type of challenge (AI, ML, Databases, security, etc.) that they love, whether they are coding at their level or trying to learn something new.
We're building a large collection of real world programming challenges in various domains of Computer Science. The challenges themselves are sourced from top hackers, professors, and companies who work in that domain.
Our active users have been growing at 35.72% every month (publicly visible alexa: http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/hackerrank.com) and we signed up two of the largest CS organizations - ACM & IEEE (https://www.hackerrank.com/blog/acmeee) to host their coding challenges.
Your role:
[1]There are a lot of challenges created from various sources. We'll need to ensure that the problem statements are crisp, easy to understand by anyone even without a CS background - at the very least they should know what is being asked.
[2] After every hackathon or a contest, write a detailed blog post on different solutions, approaches, algorithms used to solve the challenge in collaboration with hackers who set the problem or solved it during a contest.
[3] Interview top hackers on their approach to coding and feature inspiring stories (https://www.hackerrank.com/blog/jinfu) - there are tons hidden
[4] Manage content of any marketing material (eg: hackerrank.com/backtoschool)
and many more..
Skills:
[1] Love for Computer Science - a CS degree is not essential but it's a good to have.
[2] Great english language skills and an ability to articulate a complicated concept or phrase in a simple way.
You'll collaborate with the best problem solvers across the world and your work will impact ~200k of the smartest hackers in the world!
About us: We are in Mountain View, backed by YC, Vinod Khosla, Jawed Karim (founder of Youtube) and a team of 27 and growing.
