For our Node Knockout entry this year, we put together a proof of concept for an idea my friends and I have been kicking around for a while:
A package management system for publishing educational tutorials:
https://github.com/bcoe/tut
It's a bit rough around the edges, given that we hammered it out in 48 hours, but I think a slick idea :)
Hmm... this looks pretty dang interesting. Looking forward to getting into it and playing around. I'm fascinated with better approaches to using computers to help people learn, so this kind of thing really excites me.
I haven't explored enough yet to really know if this question even makes sense, but I'll ask anyway... Would this be more of something that would compete with traditional LMS software like Moodle[1] or Sakai[2], or would be more of a complement to an LMS and integrate with that approach somehow?
Likewise, any connection between this and SCORM[3] or Tin-Can[4] and a LRS[5]?
[1]: http://www.moodle.org
[2]: https://sakaiproject.org/
[3]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCORM
[4]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tin_Can_API
[5]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Learning_Record_Store
