New York City (Interested in a telecommute? Let’s chat)
One Month (www.onemonthrails.com) is looking for a few great engineers to join us in building a platform that transforms how the world learns.
You
You love shipping features, and you get some kind of perverse pleasure from seeing well-written code. You get a little uncomfortable writing code without tests. Maybe you want to level up your skills by working on large-scale social problems. You’ve been known to get into arguments at parties about why Ruby is better than PHP.
Us
One Month is the creator of some of the best-selling online global classes (like One Month Rails and Growth Hacking), a leader in the field of online education. We are opinionated about how people should be educated. We want people to learn by building real products, because we know that’s how they learn best. We’re a small team (4). We believe in working at a sustainable pace – you’ll code hard each day but you get to decide how you work best.
We are a Y Combinator company with a large network of great advisors and investors to support our growth.
Where
One Month is located in New York, in our brightly lit SoHo loft near Greene St and Grand St. To make sure you’re always feeling focused and energized, we provide unlimited snacks/drinks throughout the day. We have a collaborative, open space filled with passionate and cool people who enjoy hanging out with each other.
Desired Skills / Experience:

* Experience developing large-scale products (over 100,000 users) in various languages, with a preference for Ruby on Rails. (You love MVC, sensible defaults, and Heroku.)
* Experience and/or interest in Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies.
* BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
