1 pointsby ashrustover 11 years ago
SendHub (YC W12) is a looking for a talented and self-motivated platform engineer. Join us in building a new kind of phone company and fight against the Telco monopolies.
About SendHub: We're building tools to make it fast and easy for businesses to communicate with their customers and employees.
Founded to help educators in under resourced communities, we’re taking on the Telecom giants. Hate your phone carrier? Us too. Telecommunications is a duopoly dominated industry, which has systematically suppressed competition over its 150 year history, in order to keep prices unfairly high. We’re going to change this, starting with business phone service. We have over 170k users on our platform and closed a $3M Series A in September 2013.
Our Philosophy: We believe in taking care of our customers and each other, so together we can build wonderful products. We work hard delivering the best to our customers and we wouldn't want it any other way. We're hungry and you need to be too.
The Role You will be responsible for taking the SendHub API to the next level: building out entire APIs and scaling our infrastructure to support our high-concurrency, highly-available web-application services. You’ll lead technical design to meet business goals, reduce complexity, ensure platform consistency, and drive integration with third party services.
Mastery of Python or Java is a must. Deep database expertise, enthusiasm for Javascript, and AWS automation knowledge are also highly desirable.
Nice to have: Postgresql experience. Angular experience.
We're based in Menlo Park, CA, and while we're flexible on working remotely, you'll need to be around the office and eligible to work in the United States. If you're interested, please drop us a line: jobs [at] sendhub [dot] com
