The newer posts on there are the digital equivalent of graffiti. The original Linux post is clogged with a bunch of junk as well. It's always upsetting to see traffic driven to these posts leading to trash from visitors.
Great expectations ought to demand great compensation. I think this is somewhat fair (even if perhaps slightly pompous):<p>> You must have experience designing and building large and complex (yet maintainable) systems, and you should be able to do so in about one-third the time that most competent people think possible.<p>> Your compensation will include meaningful equity ownership.<p>I think the problem with a lot of ridiculous-sounding job offers we see today is that that they include great expectations, and then "will work for pennies [of equity]" is kind of tacked on as an additional expectation.
