I think I get between 60% and 75% of all my news of any kind right here.<p>Also:<p>New York Times, almost entirely through their daily email, which you can subscribe to for free. Nature.com for articulate reports of the natural sciences. I've started reading nautil.us, and have nothing but good things to say.
wartard.blogspot.com is a little aggressive, but I still find it the best source for understanding military intention.
