In all honesty, it's made me hesitant to look at Kickstarter projects now that might "take off" in the same manner. I'm a big fan of crowdfunding, but I'm not sure yet how I feel about being a part of crowdfunding a product that just sells out. It's bad investment on my part, no return on it.
This, Facebook buying Oculus, is plain wrong. Its like we live in a world where everything that has the slightest chance of taking off or changing the world is bought out by one of the mega-corporations.
