I use my phone for pretty much everything except calling (unless it's VOIP). I'm hoping that once 4G/WiMax catches on, there will be lots of devices (digital cameras, camcorders, tablet PCs, cars, etc) with direct internet connectivity, and no monthly plans for each one.<p>BTW...Wasn't there a device in the early 2000's that just did AIM?
