The Operations Software Development Team is focused on building, enhancing and scaling Teespring’s custom state-of-the-art operations and fulfillment systems as well as integrating with our worldwide fulfillment partners.<p>DEVOPS LEAD OVERVIEW:
We need someone to take our DevOps organization world wide this year. Your objective is to build 24/7 support for multiple engineering sites (USA - SF, KY, RI, UK - London, India), a migration plan for moving from Heroku to AWS, redundancy for key systems, DB health optimization and scaling, a business continuity/disaster recovery plan, EU Data compliance, 5 minute code deploys/rollbacks, and add support for isolated engineering environments (Docker/Vagrant) to start. Additionally you’ll assist the engineering team as we migrate into a micro services architecture.<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong scripting skills in Ruby or Python
Strong Bash scripting skills
Large scale Linux sysadmin skils (100+ servers)
Deep Cloud Hosting (AWS)
Experience with Configuration Management Tools (Chef, Puppet, OpsWorks)
Strong Database Management and Scaling (RDS, Postgres and MySQL)
CDN, Caching & Security (CloudFront, CloudFlare)
Systems Monitoring and Alerting (PagerDuty, Nagios, Munin)
Continuous Integration/Deploy (Jenkins, CircleCI)
At scale experience optimizing web app frameworks, specifically RoR applications
Familiarity with agile software development concepts<p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ year of engineering operations experience with web technologies
Container Management (Docker, Vagrant)
Experience deploying Service Oriented Architectures<p>RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop high-quality automation and deploy systems that are scalable and reliable
Assist with the creation of systems and tools that boost the efficiency of our operations
Building larger scale apps and custom fulfillment backends for high-volume shipments
