Apparently JAX is specifically oriented around technology on top of the JVM, so the award does make sense in that context.<p>That said:<p><i>Considering that Red Hat, Pivotal and others are also actively pushing towards more Reactive software in enterprises, it&#x27;s pretty clear that distributed, microservice-based systems is no longer just for early adopters.</i><p>It is interesting to observe how a large contingent of developers had grown quite resentful of the Unix philosophy, and now the new architectural trend of &quot;microservices&quot; is having them flock right back at it. Seems they might have come to their senses, if only by accident. Take this snark with a grain of salt.
