The word &quot;muscle&quot; is never used. The acronym &quot;BMI&quot; is also avoided. I <i>still</i> can&#x27;t wrap my head around all these anti-exercise fluff pieces I&#x27;ve read over the past few years.<p>Someone can be the <i>same exact weight</i> that they were <i>months</i> ago - with the only difference between a completely different look: they are now carrying about 30lbs of muscle instead of 30lbs of fat. They&#x27;ll look <i>very</i> different even if they <i>lost no weight</i>.<p>I don&#x27;t know of anyone&#x27;s goal of &quot;weight loss&quot; that does not include &quot;being healthier&quot; or &quot;having a more fit-looking&#x2F;aesthetic body&quot; unless they have what are referred to as disorders: bolemia, anorexia, etc. If your goal is pure weight loss, including loss of muscle, consult a physician and go on an extreme caloric deficit diet. Keep that up and you will be <i>shedding</i> weight. You&#x27;ll also feel like shit and be less healthy - but hey!! you&#x27;ll lose 10lbs more than that chum who&#x27;s exercising!
