This is a very consumer-oriented post. Unfortunately, there's a clear tradeoff with startup advice between specificity and universality; for my startup, this one is far too specific to apply to us (I think, with some degree of confidence).<p>Which is too bad, because we do think about hypothetical competition a lot, and it's a nonzero source of stress... but a post specific enough to address our situation wouldn't be very general at all.<p>That said, I think this is still a well-written article (enjoyed his/her other posts on startup mechanics), and if it applies to you, c'est bon.
