They only ever talk about brain implants to treat epilepsy or help recovering stroke victims.<p>What about the rest of us?<p>Yes, obviously, the state of the art described here is still too invasive to be used on uninjured brains. Is it too much to ask, though, for these guys to say "commercial applications are at least 20 years away"?<p>By omitting that one little line, the authors are suggesting that it's never going to happen because nobody is thinking about it.
