I've been maintaining textual notes of the various books that I have read for future reference for quite some time now in notepad. I'm pretty sure some of you maintain such notes too which you could then refer to later on.
That got me thinking about the scope of a web application that would allow users to maintain, share and rate other user's book notes. This product won't be similar to Goodreads in the sense that users won't be sharing and rating reviews of their favorite books, but rather the notes that they maintain for them.
What do you guys think about such a product? Is this something people would want to use, or are traditional methods of maintaining book notes more convenient than using an actual product for the same?
