WHAT WE'RE BUILDING
One of the first fully automated micro-warehouses: http://dcvelocity.com/articles/20170610-micro-warehouses-bring-fulfillment-closer-to-customer/
We have a strong robotics lead from Megabots helping us design & build the product.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Another roboticist to help us accelerate the progress as we have a lot to build and an aggressive timeline.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
+ Working with robotic arms especially Universal Robots
+ Can hack together a Raspberry Pi demo to hijack control systems
+ Understanding of how each of our components actually work (conveyor belts, robotic arms, vending machines)
+ Putting together cost of materials spreadsheet (not very hard but surprising how many engineers eschew this practice)
+ Establish rough timelines and provide clarity around parts of the system that are least understood i.e. highest-risk
+ Communicate project scope and timeline risks as project progresses especially with new feature requests
IMMEDIATE IMPACT:
Currently, we have people from companies including most top e-commerce and physical retailer visiting us when we launch this system. Additionally, there's a pending deal to jointly develop tens of thousands of units over the next two years. We're interested in people who can build something fast with an eye toward manufacturability.
