Brain - javascript neural networks

I don't remember much about Neural Networks from university other than it was something about half the PhD students where up to.<p>Does anyone care to explain the algorithm used by Brain.js?<p>E.g. "<i>Standard feedforward multi-layer perceptron neural network trained with backpropagation</i>"
