I suppose you are aware of the Fry's story, where a guy goes into a local Fry's store, picks up a Philips brand nose hair trimmer that they have at the checkout, and asks if it is compatible with Windows XP?<p>The clerk picks it up, no doubt scanning for the sticker or a printed logo, then hands it back and shrugs his shoulders.
