Hi,<p>Just had a thought, that Kickstarter would be a lot more useful if instead of just promoting the campaign and driving potential backers for individual product sales, KS would be able to make introductions to relevant industry partners, based on either past-funded projects, or a YC-like format where you can have a mentor advise a project.<p>This would not be a significant undertaking for Kickstarter and would only mean having a few extra people on staff who know the product success stories, and being able to send a few emails on behalf of the creators to establish connections in the relevant industry.<p>Just a thought, but one that would be immensely helpful. We’re a 3-time creator, and after learning the potential markets of our product (through KS), we were left to do all of the further discovery, and connection-building ourselves which is exhausting for company resources and detracts from building the best possible product. I can imagine it’s a common theme for many creators who deliver a good, physical or otherwise.<p>Regards,<p>John Tolly
