Data@Weebly team has brilliant software engineers who have expertise in product engineering, data engineering, machine learning, and in general building cool shit. We process data about hundreds of millions of monthly visitors on the Weebly platform to build prediction algorithms for user behavior, conversion rate, marketing strategies as well as to build data and machine learning driven product features. We use a mix of open source and home grown tools in a hybrid on-premise and cloud environment to do data magic.<p>The Job
We are looking for a data junkie disguised as a software engineer who dreams about and builds cool data projects during spare time and is obsessed with data quality. If that describes you, come join the Data@Weebly team. You will work with some of the smartest people in business while partnering with analysts, product managers and machine learning engineers to solve data problems within various business functions. You will also play instrumental role in building the data architecture, infrastructure, applications and tools for data-integration, experimentation, quality, modeling etc. You will institute business intelligence best practices such as dimensional modeling, as well as build robust data pipelines, batch as well as real-time.<p>Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you have battle scars to show for these:
5+ years of experience in data warehousing and building data marts.
5+ years of experience building ETL data pipelines.
Extensive knowledge of at least one of: Python, Java, C, C++, Scala
Deep expertise in three out of: Spark, Kafka/Kinesis, Redshift/Oracle/Teradata/etc, SQL, Luigi/Airflow, Tableau/Looker/Gooddata/etc
Passion for working with large datasets.
Experience in standing up distributed data flow infrastructure.
BS in computer science or a related quantitative field with 8+ yrs of relevant experience OR MS in computer science or a related quantitative field with 5+ years of experience.<p>Perks:
