At a previous employer, I had a manager spying on my GitHub activity during "working hours". He would then bring it up during 1 on 1s. Sure, I was totally contributing to open source, personal projects, and code we used on out product. I found this super shady, creepy, and just bad management. I shifted between projects at different times of the day. Being a salaried engineer working remote, I worked whenever. Sometimes I liked to work on the product late night and OS during the day. How do y'all feel about this?
