I live in the Bay Area (Oakland) and for the past few weeks, every Uber ride I've taken the drivers have complained about the navigation app. Some say that they want to use the Google Maps app, or Waze, but that Uber has told them they cannot. What the hell app are they using?<p>Every driver has told me of numerous issues, riders not being where they're supposed to be, "Navigation Unavailable" errors. I've had to call numerous drivers to tell them where I actually am. Some drivers complain about a recent "update".<p>It seems to be a recent issue. Uber engineers, what is going?
