I've been away from school due to mandatory military service in korea, and I'm missing only 3 classes till graduation (I've done 4 years, but I'm missing credits). Military service is over in a month.
However, because of my father's business failure, my family currently is in huge debt. The entire family (including me) has none saved up and barely paying the monthly interest.
Not only do I not have money to pay for school and rent if I were to return to school, just the sheer fact that I won't be making money in itself is critical even for a couple month.
With this background, it's obvious that I should get a job. The tricky part is how to communicate when I'm applying to a job.
Surely, I'll have to explain why despite doing 4 years of school and having only few credits left, I'm not getting it over with. Which means I'll have to mention how desperate I need money. There are couple problems that I can think of with explaining that.
First, "He's only in it for the money". I don't want to give the impression that I'm only applying to a place because I just need the money and don't care about what and who I work with.
Second, my salary could be impacted if they believe I'm the one that's more desperate.
How should I circumvent those issues?
PS. I plan to apply to jobs in Canada because VISA situation would be trickier in USA. Also, I plan to apply to software engineering jobs on levels equivalent to Amazon, Microsoft, etc.
