About us:<p>Zendar is a Berkeley-based startup building the next generation high-resolution radar solution for autonomous vehicles. Current perception systems that rely solely on LiDAR and camera are unable to operate in bad weather conditions. Zendar is developing critical technology for autonomous vehicles to operate reliably in all weather conditions, such as heavy rain, fog, and snow.<p>Job description:<p>We are currently looking for an FPGA and Firmware Intern to join our team. We use an FPGA platform to control and communicate with our radar units. The FPGA and Firmware Intern will be responsible to develop FPGA IP blocks for the control and datapath, as well as the host-side firmware which interfaces with the FPGA. Examples may include controllers to trigger radar acquisitions or accelerators for intensive signal processing functions. A well-qualified candidate will have completed a significant FPGA project outside of class. This is a paid full-time position with a minimum commitment of 3 months.<p>Qualifications:<p>Education: Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering<p>Strong Verilog and C&#x2F;C++ skills<p>Completed a significant RTL development project<p>Familiarity with synthesis&#x2F;implementation is a plus<p>Experience with Vivado&#x2F;Xilinx tools is a plus<p>Experience with lab tools and debugging is a plus<p>What else we have to offer:<p>Guidance from an experienced team<p>Opportunity to work hands-on in the exciting field of autonomous driving<p>Convenient location in West Berkeley<p>Free and nearby parking<p>Full-stocked refrigerator<p>Daily catered lunches<p>If you are interested, please send your resume to jobs@zendar.io
