I am always getting annoyed when people think it's acceptable to come 15min late to a meeting. Just considering a 4 engineers meeting that is a loss of 1 working hour.
Over a year that can add up to hundreds of hours which is a significant cost for any company.
Apparently there are even worse cases where people come late and introduce cost (e.g. missing an appointment with an investor). I am curious if anyone has some stories to share about the cost of not being on time.
This is perhaps relevant: https://www.communicaid.com/cross-cultural-training/blog/how...
(But yeah, if the accepted norm is "meeting starts at the time in calendar," coming late is rude. OTOH, it could be a message, too: "I think this meeting is a waste of time and this is my way of expressing it.")
