There used to be apps that let you access google voice from the menu bar, but they no longer exist or I couldn't find anything in the market so I created a simple website wrapper for google voice. You can check it out at voicenotifies.com. It allows you to quickly glance at the menu bar and see how many messages, missed calls and voicemails you have, you can also reply to messages.
