Here's ours:
Our product http://www.100-xyz.com is a platform for local info over Wifi. When users join a Wifi that starts with 100- they know they can get to the business web pages directly (for internet login) The pages may be restaurant menu, store inventory, customer reviews ... In some phones, they have to enter 100.here in the browser.
However, there was no way for the business owner to know that our system was effective. Also, one of the features most liked was customer stealing (customers of neighboring businesses using the wifi, reading up on the menu/specialty and becoming the customer on the next visit).
We could not get traction and were struggling.
Then a friend suggested the following traction hack. Modify the SSID to include a coupon. eg 100-Johns_Bar_Coupon. In the local website include said coupon with current date. Customers can take a screenshot and use it on their next visit. This way, the business knows our product was effective and customers are also likely to spread the word because it was beneficial to them.
We were wondering what other traction hacks we could do?
