However, after a follow-up email regarding the status of my application, one of the founders told me that they might need more time (2 weeks) to make a decision, but considered me as a great candidate.<p>Btw, this is a remote job. I'd bet $50 you're their second choice but their first choice hasn't given them a firm yes yet, so they're keeping you in reserve. I'd carry on looking in that situation.
