So I came across this article on The Economist which mischievously speculates about when the Chinese economy would overtake the American economy. The article is clearly to designed to increase page hits and good for them.<p>I am not interested in discussing the possibility or probability of this ever happening . What I would like to know from the hacker community is how would we change our mindset to accommodate China and the Chinese market? Would you enable censorship or would you fight it ? Would you be thinking of enabling backdoors into your applications and services for the big brother or would you enable Steganography and PGP ? Anything else that might come up ? How far would you go to accommodate the Chinese government ? And why?
