I am working as a software developer for a price comparison company (~ 900 Employees) located in Berlin. While price comparison is still e-commerce nonsense it feels like ‚David (we) fighting vs Goliath (Amazon)’. While I really like my job, the challenges are interesting, there’s enough time for technical excellence (~50/50), organizational pretty agile and with flat hierarchies. Even the stack is quite ok: mostly Spring Boot 2 applications, partly React frontends, sometimes still JSPs, hosted on OpenShift or VMs, but of course there’s still some legacy left. For me and my team it is super hard to find motivated, nice and skilled people joining our team. I have the feeling that those people are not even applying for our job offers (maybe because they don’t find them? Or because the wording is bad? I really don’t know...).<p>So, my question is: what attracts you the most, when you are looking for a new job? What is important for you when you read a job offer? Where do you do find interesting job offers? What would encourage you to join my team for a day to see how work with us feels like?
