Context:
We run a website that would do anything for users with problems and we found a slightly competing website that has left caring about users in the dust. We wish to scoop up the people that need our solution the most.
They were big at one point a few years ago but went down!
All of their socials have gone dark and they have only left the site up to run ads.<p>Proposed method:
Figure out where the users hang out elsewhere and question them on what they dislike the most and have considered switching elsewhere before (ex. on quora, blogs, twitter)
Start reaching out to the users who frequently use the site and ask what their pain points are the most annoying/makes them want to leave.
See if our current solution sizes up to those needs else iterate on them
Burn some free keyword ad credits over common SEO terms they are associated with? (basically declaring war)
Market the values where they are weak that we do with ease (risky because they may come out of nowhere and pivot but has the greatest reward potential)
Kindly ask influence blogs who have experienced issues on their site write about our product (hoping its good enough that they will write for free)
Make sure we can make said users lives much much better than before<p>Thanks in advance!<p>(btw the other website has a plethora of other areas they are more invested in and we simply want to take this one because the users really need it!)
