I want to jump on the Linux train but fractional scaling is holding me back. Here's the situation:
My current setup includes a 1440p monitor and 4K TV that are both connected to a GTX 1060. I want my 4K TV to scale at 200% while keeping my 1440p monitor at 100% scaling.
Fractional scaling supposed to be the solution for Ubuntu based distros but after many attempts I'm never getting the pixel perfect result.
with scaling set to 200% at 4K and 100% at 1440P my text is pixel perfect at 2x on the 4K screen. But the 1440p gets blurry because the fractional scaling doubles the resolution of my 1440p screen and scales the UI 2x as if it's at 100%.
How can it be that in 2020 this is still not under control? If it's possible in Windows why does Linux /Ubuntu suck this much?
