I build this kind of apps for work using Go but I don’t really enjoy the language and I‘d also like to use this project as a way to learn something new.
I’ve investigated a bit and there are some things I’ve found but I’m not quite sure.
1. There’s Ruby (with Rails). The consensus seems to be that it is nice to develop but very slow performance.
2. Elixir (with Phoenix). Seems like a functional Ruby on Rails with better performance, but I’m unsure about functional programming and also I feel like learning this skills won’t be of much use in the future.
3. Node. There are so many frameworks that I’m already confused and have not even started yet.
Ideally, the language and/or framework would have some job market.
Can you please shed some light on me?
