Recently at work I started posting my mistakes to our slack instance with a channel tag of #share-your-shame.
(ie: just spent 30 minutes pulling my hair out only to realize I had a missing semicolon.)
I think it's helpful for a team to realize that we all still struggle with things from time to time. It helps fight the sense of impostor syndrome when both new and old developers can comfortably share their blunders with each other. And also shines a light on some of the things that can make building estimates or hitting deadlines difficult.
Curious of other hackers thoughts on this practice and if anyone has any recent mistakes you would like to #share-your-shame on?
