What is your favorite use case, user story, or requirements gathering tool?
Currently I am using a Word template to write use cases. I then hand this document off to the programming manager who splits it up and puts it in JIRA and finally the programmers take care of it during the sprint. It works well enough and is a great way to begin discussions.
I am wondering if there is a better tool for tracking requirements -> use case (user story) -> wireframe ? I have access to JIRA and TFS, but don't know much beyond the basics for either.
I remember messing with Rational Rose during my undergrad days, but it always seemed like overkill (too much UML), but I did like how it linked everything together and could output in a word document.
Finally, is there a tool that somehow relates all of this to code architecture. Let's say I wanted to outsource development of a small personal project. I knew all of the use cases / requirements and wireframes, but also wanted to relate this to software architecture (essentially stubbing out interfaces or webservices). Is there a tool that facilitates that or is architecture best left completely separate ?
