Every iPhone I checked shows this item on the screen that lets you select which apps are included in your device’s iCloud backup[0]. Googling only shows either farfetched conspiracy theories or people claiming its for the emoji keyboard. Setting up a new iPhone without ever enabling emoji[1] stills shows this item on the backup screen. Even deleting every app Apple allows you to delete leaves your iCloud backup with “Medical ID” and “Keyboard Data (Chinese & Japanese)“.
It’s weird that this doesn’t even have an icon (displays default blueprint icon). The size also varies wildly and there seems to be no way to remove it.
Does anyone here knows what that is or if it can be removed? Also interested to know if some iPhones do not have this item on the iCloud backup screen.<p>[0] settings/your name/iCloud/Manage Storage/backups/this iPhone
[1] During initial setup, picking a country with multiple possible keyboards (like China) allows you to select keyboards, removing all keyboards except for English to be sure that the Keyboard Data thing has nothing to do with an actual keyboard.
