Actual headline: "Could COVID-19 Have Escaped from a Lab?"
It's a deep dive into the work of Alina Chan[1], an expert in genetic engineering at the Broad Institute[2].
She has a legitimate scientific background, and the author of the piece is a real journalist, but I don't really have the understanding of biology required to form an opinion. This could all be convincingly-written nonsense.
My understanding is still that it's essentially impossible for Covid to be an artificial virus, although I guess it could've been a naturally-occurring virus that was brought to a lab before escaping.
1. https://www.linkedin.com/in/alina-chan/
2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broad_Institute
